How to Cook the Delicious Polish Sausage

Sausages are and always have been a great aliment. Highly nutritious and rich in protein they are great for the winter. There is no other better way to preserve the meat over longer periods of time. Then by transforming it in sausages.

Th best recipe using sausages is the polish sausage. So let's learn how to cook polish sausage. The way you cook it is very similar to the way how to cook fresh venison sausage.

The first step is to let the sausage stay in cold water. So put cold fresh water in a bowl. A few ounces should suffice. Deep all the sausages you want to use into the water. Let them sink in there for about 2 hours. This way they will be fresh. Don't let them in the water too much because you don't want them to get soaked. And don't let them in hot water. Cold is just great.

Prepare a pan. Pour some oil in it and a few condiments at your choice. It is preferable that you use salt and pepper. The best oil is the olive oil. This is the bets way how to cook fresh venison sausage as well. Now take the fresh sausage out of the cold water bowl and place it in the pan. Let it fry for about 2 hours. Don't forget to turn it around from time to time. This way it will get cooked uniformly. There is no other philosophy in how to cook polish sausage. This should suffice.

Now take the polish sausage out of the pan and place it on a plate. It's best to pour some olive oil from the pan over it. The olive oil is now like a sauce. And it will provide great flavor. You now know how to cook polish sausage and as well how to cook fresh venison sausage.

Tips on How to Make Delicious Panini

Panini have been present for more than a century, and nowadays they are being grilled up in practically every cafĂ© in the world.  The common grilling procedure of panini at home reached a new height when Oprah Winfrey featured her favorite things.  Even celebrities try to learn some recipes for panini sandwiches; that’s how amazing they are!  To give you more ideas about panini making, here are some helpful tips on how to make a delicious panini.
-Pick your grilling method carefully.  Not all panini methods give the same results.  A panini maker can be the easiest to use and provide the biggest amount of control over heat and pressure, but it is the most expensive as well.  A lot of people are able to grill sandwiches with the use of a grill pan or outdoor grill.  No matter what recipes for panini sandwiches you use, it is possible to make one without a panini press.  Though such methods can be a bit awkward to perform, they can still give you great tasting panini.  Just make sure that if you are not using a panini grill that you use something to press down on the panini while grilling them.  You can use a brick or a spatula; whatever works for you is fine as long as you are pressing the sandwich.
-Experiment with a wide variety of breads and fillings.  Just because panini are Italian, that doesn’t mean that you have to limit yourself to foccacia, mozzarella and other Italian ingredients.  If it has bread and filings and is prepared on the grill, then it is a panino.  You can try dessert recipes, breads such as baguettes and biscuits and filings like mango salsa and apples.  Allow your taste buds to be your guide and have fun with it.
-Go for the crunch.  One thing that separates panini from other typical sandwiches is the grilling part.  Grilled bread is the trademark of panini.  They will taste best if you brush the outside of the bread with olive oil or melted butter on top.  For a low fat alternative, you can use cooking spray instead.
-Watch out for wet ingredients.  Nobody wants a soggy sandwich.  Most of the recipes for panini sandwiches include dryer ingredients.  If you are planning on adding tomatoes, I would suggest adding them after the grilling process. Remember that the crispness of the panini is the key.  However, you can still use wet ingredients just find ways on how to contain the excess juice or moisture and make sure to use thicker breads like focaccia.  If you will be using wet ingredients, it is advisable to spread them out, thinly, throughout the sandwich.
-Keep round tops turned in.  When you attempt to grill round-topped breads such as baguettes, you will see it can be quite challenging to keep them from rolling over and spilling out the ingredients of the panini.  The best solution to this is turn round-topped breads inside out in order for the flat surfaces to make contact with the grill.
-Cut with a straight-edged knife.  It is best to use a sharp, straight-edged knife, compared to a serrated one.  This will make a smooth preparation to your finished panini.
-Plan a panini party.  The ideal way to know if you have succeeded the panini test is to invite your friends and family over.  Buy a wide selection of breads and fillings.  Bring out your grill and let your guests make their own panini.  You can give them some suggestions on recipes for panini sandwiches.  This way, they can get ideas and maybe even share a few new recipes with you.
-Green veggies go last.  Grill your panini first and then place the green leafy veggies, such as lettuce inside.
Hopefully, now you’ll be motivated and encouraged to go out and make your own grilled panini in your own home.  If you still aren’t sure about what to put in panini, try purchasing a panini recipe book or surfing the net for great ideas.

2 tbsp sugar (or Splenda for diabetics)
2 tbsp mayo type of salad dressing
1/2 cup chopped pecans
3 to 4 ripe peaches, halved
6 or 8 fresh lettuce leaves

Bread Pan

Place one peach half on each lettuce leaf. Gently combine the whipped cream, grapes, sugar, nuts, and salad dressing. Divide the mixture evenly among the peach halves, filling the peach cavities.

For best results, serve immediately.

PEACH AND GINGER ALE PUNCH
3 cups water
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 pkg (3-oz) peach-flavored gelatin
1 can (29-oz) peach slices in light syrup
4 cans (11.3-oz each) peach nectar

Divide the mixture into four 1-quart freezeable containers and freeze overnight. (May be frozen for up to 3 months.)

At serving time, place one or more of the frozen containers at room temperature for 1 hour. (Each container makes six servings.) Break mixture into chunks with a large fork. Place in a punch bowl and stir in two bottles of ginger ale per container of peach mixture.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees while the batter sets. Bake in the 375 degree oven for 45 to 55 minutes or until browned. Allow to cool in the pan 15 minutes before removing. Allow to cool on a wire rack until cooled completely.

Delicious Nutritious Bread Machine Recipes

Best Whole Wheat Bread Recipe

For good health it is best to have as much whole wheat in bread as you can. This recipe has at least 90% whole wheat. Try it out. It will rise nicely and have a great texture and flavor.

Bread Pan

Make sure the paddles in the pan are in the correct orientation (usually in the same direction if you have two paddles.)

It really is best to use a kitchen scale for accurate measurement. You will have better results.

Place 340 grams of pure water into the bread machine pan.
Add about 1 Tablespoon of butter, cut into two pieces.

Next measure into a bowl the following ingredients:
50 grams of nuts or seeds. (You may use cracked wheat in place of seeds. If you do so, add this to the water so it can soak, and program for a delayed bake by at least 5 hours.)
50 grams of bread flour
200 grams of whole wheat flour
200 grams of white whole wheat flour (it is less bitter than whole wheat)
40 grams of white sugar
20 grams of powdered buttermilk
10 grams of powdered malt
10 grams of kosher salt
Stir these ingredients, then add to the water in the pan.

Make a small indent in the dry ingredient mix and place in it 2 1/4 teaspoons of active dry (not rapid) yeast. You may use a type of yeast designed for a quick-rise; if you do, make sure to set your bread maker appropriately.

Yield: one 1.5 lb. loaf

For a really fine bread, prepare this in the evening and set your bread machine to have the bread ready for breakfast. Again, this bread will rise nicely and the taste will be fantastic.
Enjoy. For your health!

High Rise 100% Whole Wheat Bread

250 grams white whole wheat flour
250 grams whole wheat flour
40 grams white sugar
20 grams powdered buttermilk
10 grams kosher salt
8 grams (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast

Makes one 1.5 lb. loaf

Enjoy. For your health!

Cracked Wheat & Wheat Germ Bread

100 grams bread flour
150 grams white whole wheat flour
150 grams whole wheat flour
40 grams white sugar
20 grams powdered buttermilk
10 grams kosher salt
8 grams (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast

Put the first 4 ingredients into the bread machine pan and swish.

Put all the other ingredients, except the yeast, into a bowl. Stir, then pour into the bread machine pan. Make a well in the top of the dry ingredients and add the yeast. If you do not want to delay the baking, mix the yeast in with the dry ingredients.

Bread machine settings: light crust, whole wheat.

Yield: one 1.5 lb. loaf

Enjoy. For your health!

Almond and Cherry Bread

This is a good-tasting bread, not too sweet. Great as a breakfast bread!

3 grams almond extract

Add in the dry ingredients:
510 grams bread flour
26 grams white sugar
12 grams salt
28 grams butter
75 grams slivered almonds
6 grams active dry yeast

Again, if you do not make the bread right away, put the yeast in a well on top of the dry ingredients in your bread machine pan. Otherwise stir it in with the dry ingredients.

When the beep sounds for adding ingredients add:

72 grams dried cherries

If you want to use the quick setting on your bread machine, use 9 grams rapid rise yeast instead of the active dry yeast.

Delicious Pan Dulce

Pan Dulce is a special slightly sweet bread that is served year round. It is colorful and attractive on the plate. They taste as good as they look, too. The bread itself is rich with eggs, making it perfect for special occasions and holidays. Leftover rolls can be frozen and thawed whenever you feel the need for a slightly sweet treat.

Pan Dulce can trace its history back to the French occupation of Mexico. When the French were defeated on Cinco de Mayo, the Mexicans still loved the French breads that had been introduced to their country. Mexican bakers did their own thing and came up with thousands of varieties of Pan Dulce. Conchas are shaped like shells, orejas are shaped like ears, roscas are formed into rings; you get the idea.

Bread Pan

Pan Dulce is often eaten for breakfast with the morning beverage. Since the large meal is usually served in the afternoon, the evening meal is again something simple like Pan Dulce with a few other things to nibble. These delicious little rolls can brighten any day when you dig in and enjoy them with your cup of coffee.

Recipe for Pan Dulce

These sweet little loaves are delicious.

What You Need

1 Tablespoon dry yeast 1 Tablespoon sugar 1/3 cup sugar 2 Tablespoons vegetable shortening 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup lukewarm water 3-1/2 cups flour 4 eggs, beaten, room temperature

Topping

1/2 cup shortening 1/2 cup powdered sugar 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1 cup flour 3 teaspoons vanilla extract food coloring (optional)

How to Make It

Mix 1 tablespoon of sugar into the lukewarm water with the yeast. Let this rest for 10 minutes.

Cream the shortening and remaining sugar in a large mixing bowl. Add in the salt and eggs slowly. Gradually mix in the yeast water. Mix the flour in, one cup at a time, until it is all incorporated. Cover the bowl and let the dough rise in a warm place for 45 minutes.

Divide the dough into 16 pieces. Shape each piece into a ball. Place the balls on a lightly greased baking pan, giving lots of space between each piece of dough. Press each ball just a little to flatten it. Let the dough rise for an hour. While you wait for the dough to rise, mix up the topping.

Topping: Mix all the ingredients together in a food processor. When you finish, it should be smooth. Divide the topping into 16 portions. Roll each portion into a ball and roll it out on a floured work surface until it is big enough to cover each piece of dough. This should be approximately 5 inches in diameter. Press the topping onto the dough lightly. Use a knife to cut a pattern into the topping, but not the dough. Usual patterns are criss cross, lines or you can just let the topping crack on its own.

Bake the pan dulce at 350 degrees F. for 15 minutes or until the bread turns slightly golden.

Delicious Pan Dulce

Mexican recipes bring a lot of flavor and color to the table. If you have not explored Mexican desserts, give them a try. You may be amazed at how delicious and easy they are to make.

The Simply Delicious Banana Bread Recipe

There are a number of mouth-watering and easy to make recipes that people can have during breakfast. One such popular dish is the banana bread recipe whose origin lies in Australia. It is quite tasty and does not need much time to prepare. Both children and adults can enjoy this dish during breakfast.

It is also quite popular in continents like North America. But the residents of Australia are really fond of it. The benefit of the dish is that it is filling as well as appetizing. As a matter of fact, the bread used in North America is thicker than the bread used in Australia. Not everybody knows the right way to prepare banana bread recipe. It has an irresistible sweet taste and flavor that make people crave for it. It can be eaten with coffee or tea.

Bread Pan

The banana bread recipe became popular in USA in the early part of the 20th century and it was found in various recipe books in that time. Baking at home gained popularity in the 1960s and people tried making banana bread at home instead of going to the cafes.

It is quite easy to make banana bread at home. The main ingredient to make this recipe is banana. This needs to be mashed properly. The bread making process also necessitates fermentation of the main ingredient. Earlier yeast was used in making bread but for banana bread recipe baking soda is used. The thick batter that will turn into the bread should be kept in a thick rectangular pan. Generally egg is used for making banana bread but the vegetarian people can use yogurt or tofu.

At first a person needs to mix sugar with butter until the mixture becomes fluffy and light. Thereafter, the mashed bananas need to be added to the mix and stirred so that all the ingredients blend well together. Next, one needs to add the vanilla extract. The eggs need to be beaten in a separate bowl. When it is done, the egg needs to be added to the banana batter. The dry ingredients in the recipe need to be added to the egg mixed batter thereafter.

One need a 9x5 inch sized rectangular baking tray for baking the banana batter properly. The baking tray needs to be well greased with butter. The optimum baking temperature for the banana bread recipe is 350F. One should ideally bake the batter for one hour and should check the progress of baking in the time with the help of a toothpick. After the baking is done one can keep the banana bread on a wire rack. This will make it cool down. The bread can then be sliced with knife and served with tea.

Delicious Blueberry or Berry Fruit Bread Pudding Dessert Recipe

If you are tired of berry pies or just want to include more fresh healthful blueberries in your diet here is a fresh recipe idea, and it is so simple to prepare. Use berries that are sturdy and won't wilt when baking, such as blueberries, cherries blackberries, or raspberries.

Fresh healthy, berries, contain many valuable nutrients like vitamins, such as C, and anti-oxidants. Many nutritionists these days recommend including a variety of colorful fruits and vegetables in your daily diet.

Bread Pan

This recipe is so simple, anyone can make it; even an inexperienced cook.

List of Ingredients:
2 cups blueberries (fresh or froze - you may substitute raspberries, blackberries or any sturdy berry - but do not use strawberries). 1/3 cup cornstarch (Optional a pad or 2 of butter on the bottom of the pan if you don't mind the calories.) About 2/3 loaf of French or Cuban or Italian bread (cut into 1 inch cubes) or enough bread cubes to fill your casserole dish. 3 eggs 2/3 cups sugar 2 - 2 1/2 cups of half and half 1 teaspoon vanilla Pancake syrup - flavor of your choice such as maple, blueberry or strawberry.

Directions:

1. Mix blueberries, cornstarch, and sugar and pour onto the bottom of a greased 1 quart casserole dish. (you can also add a pad or 2 of butter to the bottom of the pan at this point, for extra sauce if you don't mind the calories.)

2. After cutting up the bread into cubes pour over the blueberry mixture in the casserole dish.

3. Then whisk the eggs, half and half and vanilla and sugar together and pour over the bread cubes. Make sure the bread cubes absorb the liquid mixture.

4. Bake covered, at 375 degrees, for about 1 hour. If you have a larger dish to fill with hot water, place the 1 quart casserole dish inside the dish with the water then cover and bake.

Serve it topped with butter and syrup of your choice such as maple, blueberry, or fruit flavored syrups. Another optional topping is custard sauce if you have any on hand.

This could be served with bacon or sausage early in the morning for a weekend breakfast. Or later on in the day as an evening dessert, served with ice cream or whipped cream.

Bread Machine Recipes With A Delicious Taste

A freshly baked bread is not only mouth watering but also nutritious. Can you imagine eating this home made product just from the oven? With the bread machine recipes, one has the opportunity to prepare whatever they please just by following simple steps. If you own a machine and you wish to try on a recipe, then what are you waiting for? Get these ingredients ready and you will be on the way to exploration. 1 cup warm milk, ½ cup apple sauce, 1 egg, 2 table spoon sugar, 2 tables spoon oil, 1 tea spoon salt, 1 egg yolk, 2 tablespoon brown sugar, 2 cups oat, 2 and ½ cups bread flour, 2 teaspoon instant yeast, 2 table spoon gluten, 1 cup raisins and 1 table spoon cinnamon. If you have put these measured constituents ready, its time to get involved in the work.

Put the ingredients in to the bread pan starting with the liquid ones followed by the solid ones in that order. The only item that you wont put in, is the raisins. After this, program the crust setting of the machine to medium. If your machine allows you to set it to the sweet bread cycle, well this is an opportunity for you to do it. If it does not have this cycle, well there is nothing to worry. After it has done the first kneading, add the raisins and let the machine do the rest of the work for you. Remove the pan and get your bread letting it cool. With this flavorful oatmeal loaf, you have already succeeded in putting one of the bread machine recipes into practice.

Bread Pan

Some of the important points worth noting are that some machines may not be able to produce good consistent dough. Thus if whatever you own has probably a vertical kneading paddle, this recipe would not do so good for you better go for the gluten free recipes. These include the white bread or those without the whole wheat as their ingredients. If your appliance has the horizontal kneading blade, it would be perfect for these heavy whole grain products. You have no reason to worry, as the outcome will be so perfect for you.

The other point worthy considering when trying a recipe is the whether you are a beginner or not. For those with little idea on how to use their machine, it would not be wise to go for the fore mentioned baking instructions. This is because it may take you time in preparation. Go for simpler ones like muffins, scones, and white bread and as you get accustomed to the bread maker, it would be easy to try the more complicated ones.

If you are an expert in this field, this could just be another one of your great experiments ready for implementation. Remember you are not limited to only this simple recipe. There are so many of them available online to help all people. Get the bread machine recipes right from the Internet and it does not matter the level at which you are with your baking hobby. For the apprentice and the expert alike, you will all get whatever that can help you.

How to Make Delicious, Fresh Bread With Whole Wheat Flour You Ground in Your Grain Mill

Bread is one of the ancient foods, and it used to be one of the simplest. Whole wheat ground into flour, water, honey, yeast and a little oil, and you were set.

Not only was it one of the simplest, but it was also one of the most nutritious and satisfying foods ever made.

Bread Pan

Leave it to modern man to really screw things up. These are all the ingredients I found on a package of a whole wheat loaf I bought at the supermarket a few months ago:

Whole wheat flour
Water
Wheat gluten
High fructose corn syrup
Honey
Yeast
Vegetable oils (soybean and/or cottonseed oil)
Brown sugar
Salt

Mono- and diglycerides - these are used to keep the oils from separating in products and to increase shelf life.

Ethoxylated mono- and diglycerides - as best as I can understand, these are fats that have been chemically altered. Oh yeah, I definitely want that in my body.

Ascorbic acid

Azodicarbonamide - this stuff can cause asthma and allergic reactions. It's also used as a pesticide. It's been banned in Europe because tests have shown it can cause cancer. However, it is still allowed in the U.S.

Enzymes - added because the natural enzymes that were once in the wheat kernel were destroyed and the flour now has no nutrition. These can include alpha-amylase, fungal protease, and lipoxygenase. Doesn't that sound tasty?

Calcium sulfate - used as a coagulant.

Guar gum - a food thickener

Calcium

Obviously, there are some ingredients in this bread I really have a problem with. The chemicals alone are frightening enough to make you want to steer clear.

But also, the flour they used is dead. No nutrients are left once the milling process is complete. The wheat kernel is removed and then vitamins have to be added in afterwards. Otherwise, people who eat it would suffer from malnourishment.

Wouldn't it be better to keep those nutrients in?

That's the beauty of grinding your own flour with whole grains.

An Easy Recipe For Making Bread from Whole Grains

This is my favorite recipe when working with whole grains. I have found it works on any whole grain, whether it is wheat, triticale or even Ezekiel mix. This recipe works well with any type of grain.

In order to make this, you will need both a grain mill and an upright, electric mixer. I have a Kitchen Aid Mixer, which I love, but I know there are other brands available as well.

These are the ingredients you need:

Four cups of whole grains
1 tablespoon sea salt
2 and a half teaspoons yeast
2 and 1/3 cups of very warm water
1 tablespoon of olive oil
2 tablespoons of honey

Grind the four cups of grain and add them to the bowl of your mixer. Add the salt and the yeast to the flour. Turn on the mixer and mix this for 15 seconds.

In the microwave, heat the water to about the same temperature as you would use to reheat coffee. I have a beverage setting on my microwave which I use. Add the oil and then the honey to the water and mix well.

Turn on the mixer again and slowly add the water to the flour mixture. Allow the mixer to run for a minute and a half. Then set the timer and allow the dough to rest for ten minutes.

At the end of ten minutes turn on the mixer to the number two setting and knead the dough for three and a half minutes.

Put the dough in a large oiled bowl. Cover the bowl with a cloth and set aside to a warm place.

When the dough has risen to double its size, beat the dough down. You can then either divide the dough into two smaller loaves or put the dough into a large single pan to make one large loaf.

Cover the pan (or pans) with a cloth and allow the dough to rise for about 45 minutes.

Bake in a 350 degree oven for 30-35 minutes. Remove the baked bread from its baking pan immediately and allow it to cool on a rack to prevent the loaf from sweating.

My Favorite Whole Grains

Since I bought my wheat mill, I've been experimenting with different grains. Here are three different varieties that are delicious and healthy.

Hard Red Wheat

There are several different types of wheat. Soft white wheat is best for baking cakes and pastries. For your prize loaf, however, hard red wheat is the best.

This type of wheat rises well and has an excellent, firm texture. It's great for sandwiches and toast.

My children love it!

Kamut

Pronounced Kah-moot, legend says this grain has been found in the pyramids of Egypt. This wonderful grain has a slightly higher fatty acid content and is considered a high energy grain.

Kamut also contains more vitamin E, Thiamin, phosphorus, magnesium, Riboflavin and other healthful nutrients than regular wheat does.

It has less fiber than wheat, so it makes a golden-colored loaf with a more cake-like consistency.

Also, even kamut is related to wheat, people with wheat intolerance can usually eat kamut without any problems.

The Healthy Ezekiel Loaf

Another great variety for people with wheat intolerance is Ezekiel bread.

Although it does have some wheat in it, it is in a much smaller amount that most people with wheat allergies can tolerate, along with spelt or rye, barley, millet, lentils, northern beans, red kidney beans and pinto beans.

These wonderful whole grains are mixed together and then ground into a flour.

Although it will not rise as high as whole wheat, Ezekiel bread is very similar in taste and texture.

Just One of Rachel Ray's Delicious Recipes

Want to learn how to cook like the great Rachel Ray? This is just one of my favorite portions I picked up from her site that is so delicious. In this article I will tell you how to make Philly Cheesesteak Lunchbox Roll-ups.

As far as ingredients goes you will need olive oil. It is best to have Extra Virgin Olive Oil because it is better to cook with and adds more flavor. You are also going to need a medium sized onion, thyme leaves, salt, ground black pepper, whole wheat bread, provolone cheese, roast beef, sour cream, and last but not least horse radish.

As you can see Rachel Ray knows her stuff. Now let's move on to the directions.

Have a medium pan handy because you are going to want to place it on the stove over medium-high heat. Drop two tablespoons of olive oil on the pan and spread it out. Throw in a tablespoon of thyme, a chopped medium onion, salt, and pepper into the pan. Now put a lid on top. Cook the onions for about ten minutes stirring every so often. After they turn golden brown scrape them into a bowl and let cool.

Now time to prepare the roll-ups. Get two slices of the whole wheat bread and cut the crusts off. Flatten them out with a rolling pin. Now put two tablespoons of the onions on to each slice. Place one or two slices of roast beef on top followed by a slice of the provolone cheese. Now carefully roll up the slices of bread the long way. Cut each roll-up into three pieces making sure they are tight. You are done and they are ready to be eaten and if you want have some with the horse radish for an extra kick.

And there you have it. This is just one of Rachel Ray's many recipes.

Delicious Pan Dulce

Image : http://www.flickr.com

1 Tablespoon dry yeast
1 Tablespoon sugar
1/3 cup sugar
2 Tablespoons vegetable shortening
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup lukewarm water
3-1/2 cups flour
4 eggs, beaten, room temperature

Topping

1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 cup flour
3 teaspoons vanilla extract
food coloring (optional)

Mexican recipes bring a lot of flavor and color to the table. If you have not explored Mexican desserts, give them a try. You may be amazed at how delicious and easy they are to make.
